We have had some interesting weather patterns this month on #LakeErie! So far it has been an unseasonably cold month of May. We even had snow on Sunday, May 15th!
Here is a sunrise from May 11th. The sunrises lately have been bright and beautiful. Since it has been kind of rainy on and off these past few weeks, we have been getting the red “sailors skies” in the morning.
A storm rolled off from #LakeErie on Saturday, May 14th. Here is a picture of how blue the sky turned. The Lake was a beautiful green color too and appeared to look a lot like the ocean. It was quite a show seeing the lake and surrounding sky change color and seeing and hearing the wind pickup. The gale was very significant on that day.
Here is a picture from May 15th, the day we got the snow. Surrounding areas experienced snow and hail at different times. Where we are located we could hear it as early as 3:30 am. On and off large snow fell but didn’t stick. It was freezing cold and created an amazing light show of moving clouds and a #GorgeousSunset complete with all colors of the rainbow at dusk.
As you can tell we have had some crazy weather but it has created some very picturesque views of the Lake! It has been a very beautiful time to be out here experiencing all #NorthEast has to offer! Even though it has been a cold Spring it has been very enjoyable to watch!
